Your Role

Our offices in the Greater Toronto Area are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Indirect Tax team with the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver Indirect Tax assistance to colleagues and clients regarding Goods & Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax, and provincial sales taxes in regions such as Quebec, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, along with carbon taxes, Luxury Tax, and Underused Housing Tax.
  • Investigate Indirect Tax matters and draft correspondence and related client documents.
  • Supervise and evaluate Indirect Tax compliance for clients.
  • Communicate with tax authorities regarding Indirect Tax issues for clients.
  • Support tax authority examinations, audits, and voluntary disclosures concerning Indirect Taxes.
  • Oversee practice management tasks, including billing, accounts receivable, and client onboarding processes.
  • Contribute to the mentoring and development of junior team members.
  • Recognize opportunities to assist colleagues and clients with Indirect Taxes.
  • Stay informed about all legislation related to Indirect Taxes.

Required Experience and Education

  • A CPA/CMA/CGA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Completion of the CPA GST/HST In-Depth Course is required.
  • A minimum of eight years' experience in indirect taxes is essential.
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
  • You exhibit strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
