Job Title: Modeling Team Leader

Join Manulife Financial Corporation, a leading international financial services group, as a Modeling Team Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of quantitative analysts in establishing and managing hedging programs at Manulife Financial. The team is responsible for managing both the company's balance sheet equity risk through the Macro program and the market risks associated with variable annuity (VA) and indexed universal life (IUL) products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of quantitative analysts in developing and implementing hedging strategies
  • Collaborate with the VAH Strategy and IT teams to enhance the database infrastructure and ensure system readiness for new product features and offerings
  • Interact with Group Finance Actuarial, Capital, Risk Oversight, and divisional modeling and valuation teams to validate and explain hedging results
  • Recommend hedging decisions using analysis, data, and modeling
  • Respond effectively to time-sensitive requests for information from Management
Requirements:
  • OR graduate degree in a quantitative field
  • Organized and able to manage complex processes
  • Knowledge of Python or a similar programming language
  • Stochastic modeling and quantitative modeling knowledge are assets
