Job Title: Automotive Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at United Car Sales. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport trucks and automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Review work orders
  • Test automotive systems and components
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Provide customer service
Work Environment:

As an Automotive Mechanic, you will work in a fast-paced environment with dusty, dirty, and noisy conditions. You will be required to work in a garage setting and have excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and be able to work accurately and reliably.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
