Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanics Supervisor

KBS Heavy Duty Mechanics Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanics Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of heavy equipment mechanics, ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of heavy equipment mechanics to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to mechanics to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels of spare parts and materials to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to mechanics to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Proven track record of supervising a team of mechanics.
  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
