Human Resources Specialist

Conseil Cri de la santé et des services sociaux de la Baie James is seeking a highly skilled Personnel Officer to join our team.
Job Summary:The Personnel Officer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, assessing, and implementing professional techniques in human resources to ensure optimal performance. This includes managing the entire staffing cycle, from recruitment to onboarding, developing and updating tools for the staffing cycle, and participating in workforce planning and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the recruitment process, including developing recruitment strategies and assessing their impact.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with HR departments and stakeholders.
- Compile statistics for management indicators.
- Participate in workforce planning and resource allocation.
- Integrate and welcome new staff.
- Bachelor's degree in administration, human resources, industrial relations, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- MSSS legislation, regulations, and programs.
- First Nation health/social service models and trends.
- Cree culture, language, and social/health realities in Eeyou Istchee.
- Communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent planning and decision-making skills.
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English and French.
- Fluency in Cree is an asset.
- Willing to travel regularly.
