Environmental Health and Safety Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at the National Research Council Canada (NRC). As a key member of our Environment and Occupational Health and Safety Directorate, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients and stakeholders in implementing effective HSE management practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance and support on environmental and occupational health and safety standards, tools, practices, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement risk prevention programs, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Participate in investigations of hazardous incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective measures.
- Contribute to the development of client site HSE strategies, goals, and action plans, ensuring alignment with NRC's policies and procedures.
- Work with clients to identify and implement appropriate HSE resources and personal protective equipment (PPE) for specific tasks.
- Actively participate in operational and group meetings, general assemblies, and committees as needed, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in implementing HSE programs in industrial or research environments, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide expert guidance.
- A competitive salary range of $69,087 to $81,221 annually.
