Job Summary

Zayo is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering timely customer and network provisioning, restoration, and preventive maintenance in a high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provisioning: Ensure timely and accurate provisioning of customer and network services, meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Restoration: Restore customer and network services within the agreed-upon timeframes, minimizing downtime and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks to ensure network equipment and infrastructure are functioning optimally, reducing the risk of service disruptions.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, resolving issues and answering questions related to telecommunications services and network operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality customer experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications, network operations, or a related field, with a strong background in technical support and customer service.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications systems, network protocols, and infrastructure; excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Certifications: Possess or be willing to obtain relevant certifications, such as Safe Driving, First Aid, and Transport of Dangerous Goods.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and be willing to operate a company vehicle. Field experience is an asset, and the ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors, is required.

Security Clearance

A Secret-level security clearance by an agency of the Government of Canada or Secret-level security clearance is required. Security clearance can be obtained after hire but is a condition of employment to retain the position.
