Food Service Supervisor

Hollander Motor Hotel is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
- Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries and ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations to promote cultural competency and inclusivity.
- Provide cultural awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Physical demands of the job require standing for long periods, lifting, and bending.
