Store Manager in Training

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Store Manager to join our team at Savers / Value Village. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and direction of the store and team, ensuring financial results meet or exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and direct the work of the management team and entire team to achieve sales, profit, and productivity targets.
- Oversee the production manager and retail sales manager in planning staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and training team members.
- Regularly observe, assess, interact, coach, and counsel the team to ensure they are meeting expectations.
- Identify and develop high-potential team members for all management positions through on-the-job training and guided work.
- Maintain a respectful, values-driven workplace and use open communication tools to convert team member input into meaningful action.

- High school diploma; post-secondary degree or diploma preferred.
- 3+ years of results-driven retail store management or industrial management experience.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
The Store Manager must be able to frequently lift and carry products weighing less than 5 lbs, occasionally lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs, and push and pull racks/carts weighing 50 to 250 pounds using 4-10 lbs of force.
They must also be able to frequently reach out in various levels/directions to inspect/handle merchandise, validate work processes, train/coach/counsel the team, and possess dexterity for complex hand-eye tasks, including keyboarding and merchandise ticketing/movement activities.
The Store Manager must be able to continuously stand, frequently walk, stoop, bend, and twist, and occasionally kneel to handle and/or inspect merchandise, validate work processes, train/coach/counsel the team.
They must also be able to frequently read written and electronic documents and product labels, and continuously hear and verbally communicate to interact with and respond to management, team members, and customers.
The Store Manager will occasionally be exposed to hazardous machinery, solvents, radiation, dust, and temperature fluctuations, and will need to adjust their work schedule to the needs of the business, including working some nights, weekends, and holidays.
They must be able to safely, cautiously, and efficiently navigate the work environment, which may include large industrial machinery, heavy equipment, and product, elevated and uneven surfaces, and heights, and moving forklifts.
