Human Resources Specialist

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in driving organizational change and championing an engaging workplace culture.

About the Role

The Human Resources Specialist will provide guidance and support in all areas of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, professional development, training, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee/labour relations, employee engagement, and retention. This role will analyze, recommend, and implement policies and procedures that will contribute to the growth and development of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR guidance and support to employees and managers across the company
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new employees
  • Manage employee/labour relations and employee engagement initiatives
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Conduct performance management and compensation reviews
  • Develop and implement workforce planning strategies
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, Commerce, or related field
  • 2-3+ years of human resources experience in a specialist or generalist role
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to communicate and work with people at different levels across and outside the organization
  • Team player with excellent collaboration skills that motivate others
  • Knowledgeable in human resources practices and legislation
  • Proven time management and multi-tasking skills to set priorities and objectives while remaining composed under pressure
  • Computer savvy including proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP software
What We Offer

Meridia Recruitment Solutions offers a hybrid rotational schedule (fly-in/fly-out with remote option to work from home when not on-site) from locations within Atlantic Canada.
