Job Title: Licensed Mechanic

First Student Canada is seeking a skilled Licensed Mechanic to join our team. As a Licensed Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and perform repairs on various vehicle systems, including brakes, engines, suspensions, and transmissions.
  • Lead preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and maintain records of all maintenance work.
  • Notify supervisors of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
  • Lead road calls and emergency services as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Valid Mechanic license.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Appropriate mechanic's tool set.
  • Advanced problem-solving ability.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
