Join Our Team as a 310T Licensed Mechanic

First Student, the largest provider of student transportation in North America, is seeking a skilled 310T Licensed Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of school buses.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced mechanic to join our team. As a 310T Licensed Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our school buses, as well as providing guidance and support to our apprentice mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle and equipment issues under minimal supervision.
  • Lead preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and maintain records of all maintenance work completed.
  • Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
  • Adhere to First Student standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must have required Mechanic license.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must have appropriate mechanic's tool set.
  • Advanced problem-solving ability.
  • Advanced computer skills.
