Position Summary:
The Automotive Lot Attendant / Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of vehicles on the lot. This position requires physical stamina and attention to detail to ensure vehicles are presented in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizing and parking vehicles available for sale
- Cleaning vehicle exteriors based on seasonal requirements
- Identifying merchandising needs or issues and reporting them to management
- Placing advertising signage on vehicles
- Monitoring and organizing vehicles in the reconditioning process
- Maintaining lot cleanliness, including garbage removal
- Detailing customer vehicles, both interior and exterior
- Performing general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming and washing
- Ensuring showroom vehicles are clean and presentable
- Delivering dealer trades and providing transportation for customers as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in the automotive field with knowledge of vehicles
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Experience with cleaning products and tools is advantageous
- Dependable and reliable with strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
