About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urban Planner to join our team at FNX-INNOV. As an Urban Planner, you will play a key role in the development of our infrastructure projects, working closely with our architecture, urban planning, and environmental teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct or assist in conducting analyses necessary for urban and landscape integration studies of major infrastructure projects in urban or natural contexts.
- Conduct or assist in conducting environmental impact assessments of project networks or hydroelectric, wind, digital, highway, and integrated real estate projects.
- Conduct site analyses to determine strategic, technical, spatial, landscape, environmental, and regulatory issues to guide design.
- Develop master plans and relevant analyses (socio-demographic profile, land use, green space typologies, etc.).
- Participate in research in cutting-edge fields, particularly in environmental evaluation methodologies, landscape studies, and integration of design principles in environmental impact assessments of major projects.
- Design public spaces, parks, playgrounds, trails, parking, and other infrastructure spaces, taking into account environmental factors (natural/physical, human, functional, morphological, landscape, aesthetic, economic).
- Develop design sketches, preliminary plans, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with professionals from various fields (architecture, urban planning, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environment, biology, geomatics, geotechnics, etc.) to propose solutions that address project issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, planning, environment, geography, or other relevant fields.
- Master's degree in a field related to planning or environment, an asset.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent mastery of French in writing and speaking, with a base in English, speaking and writing, an asset.
- Good autonomy, research skills.
- Possession of a driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Good mastery of Microsoft Office software; Photoshop and InDesign, an asset.
