Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at Lethbridge School Division. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with exceptional needs, providing individualized support and accommodations to ensure their success in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students with physical and medical needs, including lifting and toileting support
  • Implement individualized programs and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support student success
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with academic tasks and adapt materials to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or General Educational Development (GED) diploma
  • Proof of police information check and Intervention Record Check
  • Valid Social Insurance Number
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field (asset)
  • Experience working with students with exceptional needs (asset)
