We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at Lethbridge School Division. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with exceptional needs, providing individualized support and accommodations to ensure their success in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities- Assist students with physical and medical needs, including lifting and toileting support
- Implement individualized programs and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support student success
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with academic tasks and adapt materials to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles
- Grade 12 or General Educational Development (GED) diploma
- Proof of police information check and Intervention Record Check
- Valid Social Insurance Number
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field (asset)
- Experience working with students with exceptional needs (asset)
- Competitive hourly rate of $22.50
- Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and school holidays off
