Claims Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Officer to join our team at Transource Freightways Ltd. As a Claims Officer, you will play a critical role in reviewing and evaluating new administrative procedures, delegating work to office support staff, and ensuring that procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Tasks: Review and evaluate new administrative procedures, delegate work to office support staff, establish work priorities, and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
- Office Services: Coordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services.
- Financial Management: Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.
- Reporting and Data Entry: Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence, and perform data entry.
- Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff and oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures.
- Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflict situations.
- Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
- Work Setting: Transportation company.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Electronic mail, spreadsheet, accounting software, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail, and large workload.
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, ability to multitask, time management, adaptability, integrity, and team player.
- Government Programs: Recognized employer.
- Experience: Experience an asset, permanent employment, 30 hours per week, and English as the primary language of work.
