About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gold Miner to join our Mine Operations team at the Macassa Mine Site.

The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer, with grade improving at depth, and a key valuation driver for Agnico Eagle Mines Limited. Located in an area with well-developed infrastructure, including a provincial highway, a railway system, and a private airport, the mine offers a unique opportunity for career growth and development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting mine operations and being part of the team underground, including Services/Construction/and Shaft/Maintenance. This role could be with our #3 Shaft or Near Surface Mining Teams.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Mechanical Cut and Fill Mining Non Captive Stope and/or Perform Undercut and Fill Mining, Scoop draw point, Haulage trackless, Install and maintain Underground pipe system, Ventilation and maintenance, other competencies as per the KLG Underground Mining Classification Guideline.
  • Competently perform all Mining 3 & 4 functions (Prod./Dev't)
  • Demonstrate competence in relevant UG Hardrock common core
  • Housekeeping – keep work areas clean free from hazards
  • Communication – listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records on 5 point card, aligning with daily tasks
  • Teamwork – work with others to meet and where possible exceed daily KPI's set by Supervisor
  • Other duties as applied from time to time
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Miner 3 or equivalent (>4 years UG)
  • Physically Fit, self starter with can do attitude
  • Tolerance for hot, cold and humid environments
  • Demonstrated Safety awareness
  • Literacy and Numeracy to minimum year/grade 10
