About the Role

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a skilled Gold Miner to join our team at the Macassa Mine Site. As a key member of our Mine Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting mine operations and being part of the team underground.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Mechanical Cut and Fill Mining Non Captive Stope and/or Perform Undercut and Fill Mining, Scoop draw point, Haulage trackless, Install and maintain Underground pipe system, Ventilation and maintenance, other competencies as per the KLG Underground Mining Classification Guideline.
  • Competently perform all Mining 3 & 4 functions (Prod./Dev't)
  • Demonstrate competence in relevant UG Hardrock common core
  • Housekeeping – keep work areas clean free from hazards
  • Communication – listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records on 5 point card, aligning with daily tasks
  • Teamwork – work with others to meet and where possible exceed daily KPI's set by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Miner 3 or equivalent (>4 years UG)
  • Physically Fit, self starter with can do attitude
  • Tolerance for hot, cold and humid environments
  • Demonstrated Safety awareness
  • Literacy and Numeracy to minimum year/grade 10
