About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team at Vaco. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and financial tasks, including preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, account ledger reconciliations, and lead-sheet analysis. You will also assist with revenue collection, wire transfers, and day-to-day banking transactions as required.

Responsibilities

* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
* Assist with accounts payable function, fund expense reimbursements, expense allocations, and corporate payroll process
* Assist with trading commission process and tracking of soft dollar transactions and payments
* Prepare budgets and cash-flow projections to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operating needs
* Provide support to the Director of Finance on ad-hoc tasks and special projects as required

About You

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
* CPA enrolment is an asset
* Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
* Payroll experience is considered a strong asset
* Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks) is preferred
* Proficient with Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
* Strong analytical skills and fundamental accounting knowledge
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and take ownership for responsibilities
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* High level of integrity in a professional environment

Hourly Rate

$30 - $33/hour
