About the Role

Fitzrovia Real Estate Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Investments and Head of Montreal to lead our regional investment strategy and business activities in the Montreal region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operations and execution of our company's overall strategy in the Montreal region.

This role will involve working closely with other senior members of the company to drive business growth, evaluate new strategies, and contribute to the development of our business verticals. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with third-party brokers, landowners, and other stakeholders to secure transaction opportunities for the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our regional investment strategy and business plan
  • Oversee the assessment and evaluation of potential investments, including the review of financial models and market research
  • Work closely with the asset management team to formulate asset business plans for income-producing assets
  • Lead the closing process, including the review of due diligence materials and coordination with internal resources and third-party consultants and stakeholders
  • Assist with securing land, bridge, construction, and permanent financing, including the preparation of lender packages, valuations, budgets, and due diligence materials
  • Oversee the creation of investment committee memorandums and due diligence materials for new acquisitions
  • Represent the company on industry panels and at industry networking events
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in finance, including principal investing at a private equity company or real estate firm
  • Advanced analytical skills with expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Motivated to oversee the work and contribute to the development of junior members of the investments team
  • Critical thinker and highly analytical with good judgment
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with an ability to work independently and synergistically in a lean and horizontal corporate structure
  • Results-driven individual with ability to lead inter-disciplinary teams of internal and external stakeholders
