Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team at Definitive Optimization Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of design, drawings, and specifications, as well as carrying out mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing design, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems and components
  • Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to design and develop mechanical systems and components
  • Design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures for mechanical systems and components
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications
  • Prepare standards and schedules for mechanical systems and components
  • Test machines and equipment to ensure they meet specifications and requirements
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a mechanical engineering or related field
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
