Job Summary

As a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for manufacturing products according to patient, customer, and company requirements while working in a team environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Executing all manufacturing activities of the Batch Manufacturing Records (BMaRs), manual and automated Clean in Place process, and Steam in Place process.
  • Performing manual cleaning of all compounding equipment and manufacturing rooms according to associated standard operating procedures.
  • Implementing all department requirements as directed by the Department Supervisors, while following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing all duties according to SOPs, GMP guidelines, and all other established safety standards and company policies.
  • Correctly completing all documentation as per SOPs, GDP, and GMP requirements.
  • Accessing Apotex's intranet for the purpose of locating and utilizing relevant SOPs, MSDSs, company policies, and procedures.
  • Notifying the Production Supervisor in the event of a departure from procedure, product defect, safety incident, or other non-conformance event observed.
  • Recommending amendments to existing SOPs for improvements.
  • Participating in audits to promote a culture of department compliance.
  • Participating in incidents or non-conformance investigations to identify and correct root causes.
  • Ensuring that company policies and regulations/procedures with respect to safety/quality compliance are implemented and followed.

Productivity and Equipment

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Safely operating all required equipment and machinery, including those used to manufacture, store, clean, and transport production-related assets.
  • Effectively processing batches within specifications to meet department batch execution targets by ensuring optimal cycle time in support of schedule adherence.
  • Dismantling, cleaning, sanitizing, and assembling processing equipment according to established SOPs to ensure GMP compliance and meet department changeover targets in support of reliability and productivity goals.
  • Preparing and controlling process units for start-up, shutdown, and demonstrating troubleshooting skills. Ability to adjust equipment, valves, pumps, and process equipment for maintenance.
  • Understanding and operating automated systems (Clean In Place & Steam In Place) with the use of Human Machine Interface/Computerized control panels as per applicable procedures.
  • Executing applicable SAP transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Identifying and helping eliminate potential barriers in an effort to reduce downtime.
  • Ensuring the proper selection, care, and use of tools, parts, and equipment while performing all job-related duties.
  • Providing assistance to Senior team members, including set-up issues and investigations.
  • Providing process feedback to Technical Operations with respect to new products or current product improvements.
