Job Title: Indigenous Relations Manager

Main Street Project is seeking an experienced Indigenous Relations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Indigenous Relations department, you will provide leadership and support to our Indigenous Relations team, ensuring the successful implementation of our Indigenous Relations programming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Indigenous Relations team, ensuring the successful implementation of our Indigenous Relations programming.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Indigenous Relations policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring alignment with Main Street Project's mission and values.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively engage with Indigenous communities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of Indigenous Relations programming.
  • Develop and maintain reports, data, and other materials to support the evaluation and improvement of Indigenous Relations programming.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to provide direction and guidance to staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous cultural safety and anti-racist practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
