In this capacity, you will:

  • Foster a client-centric environment to enhance customer relationships and utilize broader organizational connections, driving robust collaboration with Fraud Operations while engaging with business stakeholders to pinpoint enhancement opportunities.
  • Formulate, implement, and assess fraud prevention strategies for various channels including Wire Transfers, Cheque Deposits, and Account Takeovers across Commercial Banking, Day-to-Day Banking, as well as unsecured and secured lending products, employing advanced data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Evaluate and refine current fraud prevention strategies, protocols, and policies, providing regular updates on the performance of fraud measures in Canadian Banking.
  • Recognize and escalate fraud vulnerabilities that exceed the established Risk Appetite.
  • Spearhead or contribute to the identification, development, and execution of innovative initiatives.
  • Collaborate on a range of projects and initiatives within the Fraud Management Group; engage in discussions with IT partners and vendors regarding requirements and solution design.
  • Comprehend how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should influence daily operations and decision-making.
  • Strive for effective and efficient operations within your areas of responsibility, ensuring compliance with operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, adhering to the relevant frameworks and guidelines.

Do you possess the skills that will enable you to thrive in this role? We would be eager to collaborate with you if you have:

  • A degree in statistics, mathematics, or computer science.
  • 3-5 years of analytical experience, preferably in Fraud Analytics or Risk Management.
  • Proficiency in coding and managing large datasets (SQL, SAS, R, Python).
  • Experience with PRM or a similar fraud detection platform is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in prioritization, planning, analysis, presentation, project management, and relationship building.
  • Excellent communication abilities with clients, vendors, and management.
  • A self-driven, enthusiastic, and results-oriented approach, committed to delivering value to the organization.
