About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Scotiabank's Fraud Management team as a Fraud Analytics Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing fraud strategies to protect our customers and the bank's assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Fraud Strategies: Design and implement effective fraud strategies to prevent and detect financial crimes, leveraging data mining tools and advanced analytics skills.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with Fraud Operations, business partners, and IT partners to identify opportunities for improvement and implement new initiatives.
  • Monitor and Report Performance: Regularly review and report the performance of existing fraud strategies, identifying areas for improvement and escalating high-risk issues.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and developments in financial crimes, ensuring Scotiabank's risk management practices remain effective and efficient.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and management, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in statistics, mathematics, or computer science.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of analytical experience, preferably in fraud analytics or risk management, with strong coding and data manipulation skills.
  • Skills: Strong prioritizing, planning, analytical, presentation, project management, and relationship building skills, with excellent communication skills.
