Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site and virtual inspections of personal and commercial claims to assess damages and determine the scope of repairs.
  • Prepare and review repair estimates to settle claims, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
  • Reconcile and validate vendor estimates to ensure price and scope are appropriate.
  • Investigate claims by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses, and lawyers to gather facts and information.
  • Review policy details, technical reports, and case law to make informed decisions on coverage and claim value.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, keeping related parties informed of claim status.
  • Ensure data accuracy and issue payments to insureds, vendors, and other insurance companies.
  • Assist during Catastrophic Events (CATs) in Canada.
  • Correspond with third parties, lawyers, insureds, brokers, and individuals or companies with an interest in claim settlement.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Field Adjuster handling Personal Lines and Commercial Lines claims.
  • Strong background in Property Insurance.
  • Preference given to candidates with the ability to scope damages and prepare repair estimates.
  • Good PC skills and adaptability with new technology.
  • Valid driver's license.
