About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our interprofessional healthcare team in an Acute Care Addiction and Mental Health unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • English language skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent experience on an Acute Care Addiction and Mental Health unit.
  • Computer skills using AHS computer applications/programs (e.g. Netcare, Medworxx, Outlook, Connect Care).
