Job Title: Senior Actuarial Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform rate reviews on all lines of business, prioritized by the company, using actuarial ratemaking principles, data analytics, and advanced statistical techniques.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support business decisions, leveraging expertise in actuarial science and data analysis.
  • Develop and implement advanced analytics tools and techniques to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with regulators to complete regulated auto filings and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Design, develop, and maintain analytical data summary tools to support business needs.
  • Develop and improve Heartland's datamarts for all lines of business, with a focus on deploying self-serve capabilities for the business.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Successful completion of 4 to 6 exams from the Casualty Actuarial Society.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an actuarial/data analysis role, preferably with P&C insurance exposure or a significant educational background in a related discipline.
  • High proficiency in SAS, SQL, and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Emblem is an asset.
  • Good understanding of P&C pricing and ratemaking concepts.
  • Demonstrated strength in oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
