About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audio Director to join our team at Ubisoft Montréal. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our audio content and its seamless integration into the gameplay experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audio Quality and Integration: Develop and implement audio element integration processes, working closely with programmers and technical directors to ensure proper integration.
  • Audio Vision and Direction: Establish and document the technical and artistic audio charter based on the creative direction, and communicate the audio vision to the team.
  • Team Supervision and Development: Supervise the work of the audio team from an artistic and technical perspective, providing individual feedback and organizing group audio reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Project Resource Management: Determine project resource needs and set out the budget for the audio group, working with the producer/associate producer and reassignment team.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration: Communicate and share knowledge with other directors and teams to ensure the effectiveness of the audio community and its evolution within the group.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A degree in music or audio, or professional training in audio, with experience in audio production for video games and delivery of over three AAA games as part of a production team.
  • Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of studio audio equipment and the research process, with the ability to quickly learn and master new software.
  • Language: Fluency in English (en-US).
