Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Privacy Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Privacy team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our corporate privacy management program. Your primary responsibilities will include investigating privacy breaches, conducting Privacy Impact Assessments, responding to privacy inquiries, and delivering privacy training.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and respond to privacy breaches and incidents, ensuring timely and effective mitigation measures.
- Conduct and review Privacy Impact Assessments for internal and external systems, programs, and initiatives.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on privacy-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Develop and maintain authorization forms, privacy policies, and procedures to ensure seamless operations.
- Deliver education and training on privacy to internal stakeholders, promoting a culture of confidentiality and data protection.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Completion of a Business Communications course or equivalent.
- Demonstrated proficiency in intermediate Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- 4 years of related experience researching and writing formal documents/reports, including 2 years of experience in a Privacy Analyst or equivalent position interpreting British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
- Demonstrated experience preparing reports to support policy analysis and decision-making for privacy.
- Demonstrated experience drafting PIAs for technological systems that adhere to the guidelines for private sector entities under privacy legislation.
