Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Plan and direct grounds maintenance projects, including hiring and supervising staff, estimating labor and materials, and organizing construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and schedule staff, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Worksite Management: Maintain work records and logs, tender and administer contracts, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Operate chain saws, small engine equipment, sod cutters, and tractor mowers.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, and combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, initiative, judgment, and team player.
