About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Home Renovation Specialist to join our team at Muys Construction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the renovation process, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Inspect work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
    • Verify that subcontractors' work meets project specifications
  • Trade Work and Supervision
    • Perform various trade work tasks, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
    • Supervise and direct contractors and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and preferences
    • Communicate project progress and any issues that may arise
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Manage project documentation, including permits and certificates
    • Maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Work Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in residential construction or renovation
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
    • Attention to detail and ability to ensure quality work
