Incubator Centre Manager

Job Summary:
The Incubator Centre Manager is responsible for coordinating the activities of the business incubator, working collaboratively with incubator tenants and clients, Grenfell Office of Engagement, business service providers, economic development entities, and the business community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation of the business incubator by coordinating programs and services
- Develop and provide business development assistance to incubator tenants and clients
- Provide advisory services and coaching on a range of business-related topics
- Organize a network of professional advisors, guest speakers, workshops, and other opportunities for entrepreneurs to engage with industry support services
- Select and monitor mentors to support incubator clients
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the business incubator center, including marketing the center, recruiting clients, and assisting in screening clients
- Work closely with the Navigate Advisory Board
- Work with community stakeholders and advance community partnerships to support regional development
- Evaluate and seek potential funding sources through revenue from programming, application to funders, and seeking community funding
- Develop and maintain a client database, reports, and records
- Plan and manage budgets for programming, marketing, etc.
Requirements:
- Experience (3-5 years) in the field of entrepreneurship and business counselling
- Completion of an Undergraduate degree in Business is required; with coursework towards or completion of a Master's degree considered an asset
- Knowledge of business management principles, budget formulation and financial management, and property management and leasing is required
- Computer literacy and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of constituents and organizations is required
- The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required
Working Conditions:
A flexible work schedule is required; evening and occasional weekend work; occasional overnight; and out-of-town travel is required.
Salary:
$63,099 - $86,042 (Management and Professional)
An upscale hiring step will apply to this position (Step 8).
