Who Are We Seeking?
Interior Health is looking for a dedicated and experienced Food Services Supervisor to oversee operations within our healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a diploma from a recognized two-year Food Service/Nutrition Management program, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
In alignment with the core values and mission of our organization, the Support Service Supervisor will manage the Food, Housekeeping, and Laundry Service operations. This role includes supervising staff, managing inventory, handling administrative tasks, and engaging with patients to gather essential dietary information.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Food Services Supervisor encompass:
- Leading and mentoring staff by organizing work schedules, identifying training needs, and providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborating with the Clinical Dietician to design menus and create recipes tailored to the nutritional and therapeutic needs of patients and residents.
- Assessing food supply requirements, placing orders, receiving deliveries, and addressing any discrepancies with suppliers.
- Interacting with patients and their families to collect and share important dietary information.
- Monitoring budgetary expenditures for assigned services, offering insights on budget management, and resolving any financial discrepancies.
- Reviewing meal quality and quantity to ensure compliance with established standards.
