Job Title: Bridge Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Bridge Engineering Manager to join our team in Halifax, Canada. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of bridge infrastructure projects across the Atlantic Provinces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead feasibility studies and designs of infrastructure along major corridors in the region.
  • Assignments will address design, FEA modeling, inspections, and construction services.
  • Progress projects to preliminary and detailed design, tender, and construction.
  • Work with senior management to identify new opportunities within the Maritimes.
  • Develop proposals and help win new projects.
  • Plan and define project/program goals and devise methods to accomplish them.
  • Coordinate projects through all phases from inception to closeout.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering focusing on structures.
  • Hold a Professional Engineer registration in Canada.
  • 10-15 years of hands-on experience in bridge structural design.
  • Deep industry knowledge and practical skills.
  • Proficiency with leading structural analysis software such as SAP, CSiBridge, MIDAS, and others.
  • Proven track record in leading or developing comprehensive plans and design projects for bridge infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, motivate, and lead a team of highly qualified professionals.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of national, provincial, and municipal processes, policies, guidelines, and standards related to bridge engineering.
