Responsibilities:

As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Collecting customer accounts under B2B, B2C and other categories, based in North America including portal accounts.
  • Communicating with customers regarding past due invoices and short payments on assigned portfolios.
  • Generating reports from customer portals and reconciling with Aging reports.
  • Releasing credit blocked orders based on credit status of customer accounts.
  • Initiating customer correspondence regarding outstanding customer credits.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Utilizing Collection Software, such as Get Paid.
  • Analyzing new and existing accounts to assess credit risk; approving and setting limits & payments terms in accordance with credit policy and authorization level.
  • Resolving customer disputes working with sales department and customer service.
  • Contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Making write-off/bad debt/outside collections recommendations to Credit Manager.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • University degree or college diploma.
  • Enrollment in credit & collections professional designation from the Institute of Credit Canada or any other professional Institutes in North America preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in credit/collections in a multi-BU environment.
  • Knowledge of credit & collections principles, process, regulations and standards.
  • Experience of working with ERP systems such as IFS, JD Edward & D365.
  • Experience of working with Portal accounts.
  • Experience of working with Get Paid and Avalara (US Tax).
  • General accounting knowledge specifically around working capital and its impact on cash flow.
  • Strong understanding and abilities to understand/analyze commercial reports and data.
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Ability to make sound credit and collection recommendations regarding customer risk in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills.
