The Laboratory Medicine Program specializes in executing laboratory procedures across various disciplines, ensuring the timely completion of assigned tasks. As a vital member of our team, you will uphold the mission and values of the organization while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and workspace cleanliness.
  • Prepare comprehensive written and electronic reports to document procedures and test outcomes.
  • Engage in educational, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technologist program.
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (CMLTO).
  • Minimum one year of laboratory experience in Histology.
  • Proven ability to develop skills and knowledge across all laboratory areas.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, instruments, and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to mentor technical staff.
