Job Title: Funeral Director Assistant

We are seeking a Funeral Director Assistant to join our team at Lotus Funeral and Cremation Centre Inc.

Job Summary:

The Funeral Director Assistant will provide support to our funeral directors in planning and coordinating funeral services, burials, and cremations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of funeral services and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with families of the deceased to understand their needs and preferences for funeral services
  • Assist in the preparation of remains for viewing and burial or cremation
  • Coordinate with funeral homes, cemeteries, and other service providers to ensure smooth execution of funeral services
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of funeral services, including details of services provided and costs incurred
  • Provide support to funeral directors in planning and coordinating funeral services, including creating obituaries, preparing funeral programs, and coordinating with musicians and other service providers
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent position, 30 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
