Hotel Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Manager to join our team at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waterloo/St. Jacobs. As a Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the hotel, including daily operations, staff supervision, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations
  • Recruit and hire staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality hotel operations
  • Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
  • Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
  • Implement marketing activities to increase hotel occupancy and revenue
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in hotel management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
