Job Title: Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at IMP Aerospace & Defence. As a key member of our Occupational Health, Safety and Environment department, you will provide administrative and technical support to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to control hazards in the workplace
  • Assist with incident investigations and provide guidance on occupational health and safety matters
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare statistical reports on OHSE data
  • Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Inspect and maintain OHSE equipment and supplies
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the safe return to work program

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience or 3 years of experience in an occupational health and safety role
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
