We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Transitional Worker to join our team at Coast Mental Health. As a key member of our Cottage/Transitional Housing Program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental illness to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities- Implement daily life skills activities, including cooking, cleaning, and maintenance tasks, to promote independence and well-being.
- Administer medications and provide support with daily living tasks, ensuring the highest level of care and dignity.
- Identify and support residents in accessing community resources and services, promoting social connections and community integration.
- Collaborate with the Director of Cottage/Transitional Housing Program to develop and implement individualized plans, ensuring alignment with Coast's mission and values.
- Diploma in Community Social Service or related field.
- Recent experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's license.
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications, including First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, and Ministry of Justice clearance.
