About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Transitional Worker to join our team at Coast Mental Health. In this role, you will work closely with residents to develop and implement daily life skills activities, medication administration, and community resource access.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement daily life skills activities, including cooking, cleaning, and maintenance tasks
- Administer medication to residents in accordance with established protocols
- Support residents in accessing community resources and services
- Collaborate with the Director of Cottage/Transitional Housing Program to ensure program implementation aligns with Coast's mission and objectives
Requirements
- Diploma in Community Social Service or related field
- Recent experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's license
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications, including First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, and Ministry of Justice clearance
