About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our Private Household team. As a Developmental Service Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a private residence setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • Support individuals in achieving their educational goals, including assisting with homework and providing guidance on educational programs.
  • Life Skills Development
    • Assist individuals in developing daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Community Involvement
    • Accompany individuals to community events and activities, promoting socialization and integration.
  • Communication and Documentation
    • Maintain accurate records of individual progress and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a private residence setting, providing one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The work environment is dynamic and requires flexibility, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting individuals with diverse needs.

Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Work Setting
    • Private residence.
  • Work Language
    • English.
  • Hours
    • 30 to 40 hours per week.
