Job Overview

FLINT Corp. is in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician to enhance our operations. In this essential position, you will be tasked with the upkeep and enhancement of the instrumentation and control systems that are vital for the safe and efficient functioning of our facility.

Key Responsibilities

Execute the installation, calibration, and configuration of instrumentation devices and control systems in accordance with industry standards. Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal operations. Engage in system upgrades and modifications to improve reliability and efficiency. Adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards while maintaining precise documentation. Collaborate with various departments to support plant operations and provide technical expertise.

Qualifications

Possess a Journeyperson or Instrumentation Certificate. Demonstrated experience in maintaining and repairing instrumentation systems within an industrial setting, ideally in a pulp mill or comparable facility. Hold valid safety certifications (CSTS-20, Standard First Aid). Additional certifications (H2S Alive, AWP, Fall Protection) are considered advantageous. Exhibit a strong commitment to personal safety and the safety of company assets and personnel. Self-driven and capable of executing tasks with minimal oversight. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently. Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting stringent deadlines. Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Physically fit to perform all job-related duties, including heavy lifting, climbing, and other physical activities.

Additional Information

This role is recognized as safety-sensitive and will necessitate the completion of drug and alcohol testing.
