Job Title: Instrumentation Technician

About the Role:

FLINT Corp. is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team at our state-of-the-art pulp mill in Hinton, AB. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the instrumentation and control systems that ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, calibration, and configuration of instrumentation devices and control systems according to industry standards.
  • Conducting maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participating in system upgrades and modifications to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Collaborating with various departments to support plant operations and provide technical expertise.

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson or Instrumentation Certificate.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing instrumentation systems in an industrial environment, preferably in a pulp mill or similar facility.
  • Valid safety tickets (CSTS-20, Standard First Aid).
  • Additional certifications (H2S Alive, AWP, Fall Protection) are assets.
  • High regard for personal safety and the safety of company assets and employees.
  • Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.

Perks of the Job:

  • LOA of $140.
  • Travel Pay of up to 6 hours.

Important Details:

This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position and will require completion of a drug and alcohol testing.
