About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at SafeCare. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Medications: Safely administer medications to patients as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Infection Control: Implement and maintain infection control practices to prevent the spread of illnesses.
  • Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Respiratory Therapy: Monitor and assist with established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy.
  • Nursing Services: Provide nursing services to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
  • Personal Care: Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals to patients.
  • Physiotherapy: Plan and implement physiotherapy programs to promote patient mobility and independence.
  • Health Monitoring: Monitor patients' health and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
  • First Aid: Administer first aid in emergency situations and provide basic life support.
  • Recreational Activities: Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and ensure their safety.
  • Hygiene and Sanitation: Ensure that hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations.
  • Eye Care: Administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work.
  • Certifications: CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Background Checks: Criminal record check, immunization records, and vulnerable sector check.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, values, and ethics.
