Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for maximizing the value we receive for our merchandising spend.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute procurement plans that support the delivery of our merchandising strategy and operating plan.
  • Manage a team of Senior Procurement Analysts to optimize our procurement processes and drive cost savings.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Pacific Rim Operations and Consumer Brands, to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Lead and/or support other ad hoc procurement projects that support the overall Procurement and Vendor Engagement mandate.
  • Manage and develop a team of high-performing Senior Procurement Analysts.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of strong procurement results.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Significant credibility with merchants.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills to audiences from Analyst to VP level.
  • Global sourcing experience a definite asset.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships, while still driving aggressive change agendas.
  • Ability to lead a direct and indirect team through coaching, analytical thinking, best practice identification & sharing.
  • Ability to continuously evolve sustainable processes and tools.
  • Procurement experience or related retail buying experience, 5-10 years.
