Job Title: Procurement Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our Purchasing Planning and Logistics departments at our Scarborough location. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with the Director of Supply Chain to oversee the overall procurement strategy, lead procurement activities, develop plans, monitor KPIs, and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Warehouse Management: Support inventory management processes, identify slow-moving materials, and mitigate risks associated with perishable items.
  • Finance: Negotiate payment terms, discounts, and rebates with vendors, ensure accurate reflection of total landed costs, and maintain oversight of procurement-related accounts payable and receivable.
  • Quality Assurance: Support the vetting and onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring compliance with internal policies and standards, and assist in resolving material quality issues.
  • Commercial Responsibilities: Drive strategic sourcing for new materials in commercial projects and align commodity contracts with key customer contacts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Bachelor's degree in management, supply chain, or engineering (higher education is a plus).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP WMS and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced 24/7 operational environment.
