Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Mechanical Specialist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mechanical rehabilitation services to patients, including direct clinical service delivery, documentation, education, and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mechanical rehabilitation services to patients, including welding, sheet metal work, and automotive repairs.
  • Assess and solve problems related to wheelchair seating and other assistive technologies.
  • Work with a variety of materials, including ABS, polyurethane, steel, aluminum, and wood.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement rehabilitation plans.
  • Conduct quality control checks on equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Red Seal Machinist with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • 2-year Manufacturing Technician Diploma or 1-year Precision Metal Machining Certificate preferred.
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license and access to a vehicle required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements.
