We are seeking a dedicated Welder Apprentice to join our team at Propak. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills in welding and metal fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Welding Tasks
• Interpret and analyze welding blueprints and specifications.
• Utilize various welding techniques including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and others to join metal components.
• Operate flame-cutting tools and metal shaping machinery.
• Conduct repairs on metal products by applying additional layers through welding.
• Prepare materials for welding through processes such as gouging and grinding.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of welding equipment.
2. Collaboration and Communication
• Work closely with other trades and team members to ensure effective communication and project execution.
Qualifications
1. Education
• Must be a registered apprentice in the 2nd or 3rd year of training.
2. Experience
• A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in welding or metal fabrication.
